Major milestone in online ordering

Telstra Wholesale’s focus on automation of its business services has reached a major milestone this month with our online ordering systems accepting their 10 millionth request.

LinxOnline Ordering (LOLO) was introduced in 2000 to help you take costs out of your business through providing:

  • efficient ordering processes and reduced ordering time
  • the ability for customers to query orders when they need to
  • real time transactions available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

At launch, LOLO dealt only with voice services, allowing configuration or cancellation of these services. Today, all but a handful of complex data products can be ordered through our online systems LOLO and the business-to-business system LinxOnline Interaction Gateway (LOLIG).

Some 98 per cent of ordering transactions are now submitted through these online systems.

Our integrated B2B system LOLIG allows you to integrate your back-of-house systems, leading to even greater efficiencies and helps take costs out of your business. On average, 40,000 transactions are submitted each day via our online and B2B environments.

We manage up to 200,000 orders per month, with more than 98 per cent of these orders actioned on the same day. And our online self-service applications currently facilitate approximately 500,000 service qualifications each month.

Success

For Telstra Wholesale, the ability to measure our performance, and in turn, be responsive to your needs, is paramount to our success and that of our customers.

In the wholesale market, we offer our customers access to Australia’s most reliable network, supported by 24-hour online self-service capability for ordering, activation, fault tracking and billing.

I’m very proud of the enhancements we continue to deliver through our online systems, bringing our customers greater automation, reduced ordering time and the ability to manage large and increasing volumes of orders.

It’s this focus on improving the performance of our services that in turn helps you streamline your business.

Looking ahead, our focus will continue to be on our business-to-business services, allowing you to take control of your ordering processes and give you the competitive edge you seek in today’s increasingly competitive telecommunications market.
