Telstra has been shortlisted in four award categories for the 2008 ACOMMS Annual Awards, which recognise and honour excellence in the Australian communications industry.

Hosted by Communications Alliance and Communications Day, Telstra Wholesale is a sponsor of the awards.

Telstra has been shortlisted in the following categories:

• Communications Ambassador - Phil Burgess
• Environmental Responsibility Award
• Industry Leadership - Innovation (Large) - Next G network
• Commitment to Customer Service (Large Company) - CDMA migration

Telstra Wholesale Group Managing Director Kate McKenzie said: “This is a terrific result for Telstra and a fitting tribute to the hard work of staff across the company in the past 12 months.”

Winners of the awards will be announced at a gala event on Wednesday 6 August 2008.
