National coverage, oustanding service support

Telstra Wholesale's DSL Layer 2 Internet Grade product delivers a range of different speeds enabling our customers to differentiate their broadband offerings in their end-user markets. Telstra Wholesale' DSL Layer 2 IG offering is avaialble on a national basis in more than 2700 exchanges. Our Group Manager Broadband Solutions, Martina McConigley, tells us more about this product and the outstanding services that support its delivery.

Telstra Wholesale's broadband product, DSL Layer 2 Internet Grade, gives our customers a differentiated offering available via our extensive exchange infrastructure.

"Our Layer 2 product allows our customers the flexibility to bring together the different parts of an internet offering by adding customised value to their end-users through content and bundling with our products. In this way, we give our customers freedom to go to market their way," explains Martina.

"Our customers can aggregate their ADSL end-user originating or teminating data traffic on a state basis using Telstra Wholesale's Ethernet or ATM backhaul products allowing customers to choose how they configure their networks."

"Our DSL Layer 2 IG offering is avaialble nationally in more than 2700 exchanges, giving our customers the opportunity to market on a national basis, rather than being restricted within a metro footprint."

More coverage than competitors

As Martina explains, Telstra Wholesale has added a significant number of ADSL2+-enabled exchanges over the past 12 months with ADSL2+ speeds available on Telstra's network in more than 1800 exchanges nationally.

"This equates to coverage three times greather than our competitors," says Martina.

"We currently have ADSL capacity in 95 percent of our DSL-enabled exchanges, giving our customers the reassurance that they can deliver fast and reliable service to their end-users."

Outstanding service support

"It's not just the product itself that attracts our customers," explains Martina. "It's also the oustanding service our customers receive."

"For example, our automation rates are at 85 percent and rising, underlining our commitment to business-to-business automation and consistent service levels."

"Also, our network availability averages 99.98 percent and our DSL provisioning times run at an average of two-and-a-half days, often less than that."
