This dedicated team of four works closely with our customers to help them develop the best solutions for their end users.
Manager of Telstra Wholesale Consulting Ron Morrison says his team offers support and guidance on Telstra’s products and services.
“When customers contact us, they are normally trying to find a solution to an issue an end user has raised, so we find out what the end user is trying to achieve and then work with our customer to develop the most appropriate solution using Telstra products and services.
“Our primary focus is on educating our customers so they have the knowledge and information they need to deal with such enquiries themselves in the future,” Ron says.
“Each call to us is a learning experience for our customers, so they can serve their customers better in the future.”
Practical support
Telstra Wholesale Consulting provides advice and assistance with Telstra Wholesale products and also Telstra Retail products that are resold by wholesale customers.
The team has developed a number of practical tools used by our customers and Wholesale’s sales and operations staff.
One such tool is the Online Distance Calculator, which enables users to calculate the distances between Telstra exchanges. Knowledge of these distances is required for many of our data products for pricing purposes. The distance calculator works by providing the name of a local exchange when an address is entered into the tool.
Continuing education
Ron says the key to providing the best possible support to our customers is educating them on how to find the information they need: “There’s a wealth of information available online at www.telstrawholesale.com and in documents such as Our Customer Terms which contains pricing, terms and conditions (where applicable, mostly for resold Telstra Retail products).
“We provide guidance, information and advice to customers so they are able to source the information they need so they are equipped to handle their customers’ enquiries as efficiently as possible.”
Access to the Telstra Wholesale Consulting service is available to most Telstra Wholesale customers to support products and services purchased directly from Telstra Wholesale.
