Telstra’s fixed telephony network extends across Australia, reaching virtually every home and business. The network’s consistently high performance allows our customers to deliver a reliable service to their customers in turn. With optical fibre on all major traffic routes and a fully digital switching capability, we can develop and deploy a full range of wholesale services over the network.

Our broadband network passes approximately 2.7 million Australian homes and approximately 73 per cent of the network is underground. Telstra Wholesale’s national high-speed broadband service offers our customers the most widely available wholesale high-speed service delivered over a fixed network in Australia, making speeds of up to 8Mbps available wherever there is ADSL coverage.

GSM already reaches 96 percent of Australians, and we're expanding coverage to regional centres and the national highway network. We've also focused on improving depth of coverage in major cities, particularly in-building and underground coverage, and extending this to 145 countries through GSM international roaming.

In addition to the scope, interoperability and reliability of our national networks, Telstra Wholesale can meet all international carriage requirements - data, internet, voice and satellite capabilities - through our distribution arrangement with international carrier Reach.
